MY PC JOURNEY

 My PC Journey

Today I will be talking about my pc. From the beginning when I started getting interested to when I first got a pc then when I first built my pc.

The beginning

I first found about PC’s when I was searching through YouTube and found tons of videos about cool pc’s so I decided to ask my dad about it. He said it was cool but rather laptop as its more portable around areas. I wanted to see if online shops sold pc’s and found on Tokopedia first on pcs. I found a lot of them but most of them were very expensive. They were around 15 million rupiah or more but they look so cool. For context during this time GPUs were very expensive and PC components too as well. During this time there were not high-end GPU’s or high-end CPU like today. At that time, it was when 10th gen just came out and 5000’s series of AMD GPU came out and the 2000’s series of RTX for Nvidia. So, for 15 million the specs were around a GTX 1660 with some i5 9th gen CPU specification. During this time was also when I started typing for money but when I calculated how much I was making and how much a pc cost it was way out of my boundaries. So, I decided to just pretend to build pcs in games or pretend to build a pc online like putting parts together. It was pretty fun for me but I would do it for like hours a day. I was trying to find the best value pc parts and found out about used parts and that’s when I realized if I wanted to make a pc used parts were the way to go. I just used websites which was able to tell if the parts were compatible and just watch videos about pc’s and I soon started getting bored of it which I started to just forget about pcs in general and found other games to play rather than building pcs online. On Roblox there are a lot of games to play but during that time I found a fun game to play and it was a game where you can play with your friends. I found a game called Blockate.

Getting Bored of PC’s

In 2021 I found Blockate which is a game where you can build blocks together with friends and I found that to be very fun and to build things with your friends. I made a lot of friends in Roblox and started to build giant projects and did a lot of stuff. Soon later the game started getting more popular because it started to die before but now it’s starting to rise. I realized I already played this game over 3 years ago during mid 2018 in England. I was pretty shock and looked back at my old progress in my games. They were very bad and very funny to look at. I look at new games and the game are much better nowadays. I still play Blockate even 2 years later today with new friends in the game. Even though I started getting bored of PC’s I still talked about it to my dad and he was very supportive but insisted I get a laptop which I also agreed but laptop at that time were even more expensive than pc’s but then I found something amazing.

Mini ITX PC’s

I found the world of Mini ITX PC’s Which are PC’s but are way smaller and can fit inside your bag. Although they were expensive only some of the parts were expensive. Usually it’s the Casing, Cooler for the CPU, and the Motherboard the most expensive part. But I checked the market and it was decent. I would still be saving around 3 – 4 million than buying a laptop with the monitor and with a mouse and keyboard. I showed my dad still insisted getting a laptop but agreed more than buying an actual PC. It was nice to see an actual portable PC until later on when I found something smaller but that’s for the future.

Going to Timika

When I went to Timika and leaving Jogjakarta everything was much more different. There were a lot of less fun stuff to do and much slower internet. But there was so much more snacks and a much more cleaner area to play. Everywhere was so clean and fun to play. There was playground, Giant stores, small stores, football areas, masjids, etc… It was very cool to do stuff over there and we also made a new friend that my dad made while we were in Timika too. Found out that they also play Roblox too and then we brought our laptops then we played with them in their house and it was a lot of fun but then soon later I had to go do my exams so I went to Jogjakarta on plane with my dad to go do my exams then I got a surprise later on which would change my whole perspective on laptops and not just PC’s.

Getting a Gaming Laptop

When we went to Timika then after a few months I had to do my exam. Then when I did my exam my dad said that I could spent 15 million for a gaming pc but then soon my dad said we can save money by him giving his pc to me. Soon later that was a great decision as soon later I found out the IPASON brand was pretty bad in the power supply as the power supply was really bad tier and in the danger zone. On top of that I realized after that the prices dropped a ton and it was much more cheaper now. Either way I still got a really powerful laptop way better than my previous laptop. I was really happy still and ready to play games I like on high FPS. I was playing every game I can but soon got bored of those games so those were kind off a waste of space in the future so I deleted them later. I also had so much space. I had 1 terabyte of space for my games and applications. It was very good and until it started to glitch a lot. It started freezing every like 30 seconds and it got really bad. I tried fixing it a lot but didn’t work. Also, that when I played Roblox I kept getting disconnected then when I played with my brother I got disconnected while he didn’t multiple different times. So, I started to think the laptop was against me XD. It was very fun playing with the laptop for like a year I think or 2. Then soon I went to Timika to find something new.

Getting a PC

When I went back to Timika after I did my exams in Jogjakarta and got a new gaming laptop. My dad sister husband had a PC that was willing to give it to me. My dad drove to their house which is also in Timika too then came back with a pc. I was really excited when I found out I can do anything with it. So, then the first thing I did was open up the PC and look around it. Soon my dad said that we could sell the GPU for some money and he would so something with that money. Then soon later when I sent him the pictures, he bought a GPU during the PEAK of prices and that was a really bad mistake because a few months later the price would drop double down. He bought the GPU at an insane 6 million rupiah then it dropped to 3 million later on. But besides that when I sent him the pictures for the GPU which was a Gt 620 I think, he was able to sell it on Facebook marketplace in Timika for 750k rupiah which is a lot of money for me at that time and soon my dad said he needed the laptop back for a bit of time which I agreed and for the time waiting I can use the black HP laptop which is my previous laptop I used before the gaming laptop or I can use the PC with the new GPU installed inside of it which I agreed to the PC with the GPU installed inside because it just performed better than my laptop. Then soon I used my dad monitor and I just started playing games like usually and playing with my brothers and having a lot of fun like I had with the gaming laptop and regular laptop. I was still wondering though when I would get the gaming laptop back because I soon found out that the pc was not portable at all and was really hard to bring around and would cost a lot of money which is when I really decided to get a mini ITX PC in the future then instead of a full-size pc like that one my dad gave me. Still though I decided to keep doing my PC stuff like I did before and pretended to build PC’s and play games pretending to build PC’s as I intended to build a PC when I started typing more and getting more money. Then soon I started investing too and saving my money more until I found about some stuff and started to spend a lot sadly. Then soon later after a few months of waiting my dad got his new laptop back from fixing and gave me back the gaming laptop so I can use. This went on a for a few times when his new laptop broke down and I had to give my gaming laptop to him so he can still work while he waits and I can use the black HP laptop or the big office gaming pc that my dad got. I was getting a bit annoyed but it was fully fine for me as it was still way better than my previous laptop that I ever got.

Many delays

I was actually thinking to build a pc many times and even agreed with my dad but then soon later my dad would say actually get this or do that and it resulted in many different delays and it kept going on for months and months. It was fine at least because I was saving money lol. I kept finding so many good deals which soon went out of stock and it got really tiring to me so I decided to take a break on finding deals and instead look for new parts so I don’t have to keep doing this. I found many cool cases and my dad helped me pick out which looks the best for its price and found one which had only a little bit of RGB than the other cases which my dad didn’t like and soon I picked out the best price CPU, the best price Motherboard, best price RAM, best price SSD, and the fans too which doesn’t have too much RGB than the much cheaper ones. I also though I should get a portable monitor but realized that why would I have a portable monitor with a not portable PC so that was a really bad decision but I didn’t buy any of these because my dad would soon say that its better of not getting these but something else I think and soon later I just kept it for the future and if I wanted to buy it or not and if my dad mind would change if I should get it or not because remember it was the best deals at that time but now its probably much better deals now and would saved much more money than that time. We could have also just went for a laptop too instead of a PC but I still was really fascinated about PC instead of laptops.

Buying my first part for my future PC

So, while I was in Timika I found a case which was really good but I forgot to look at the dimensions without knowing that it would be too big. I thought it wasn’t that big due to the pictures. So then I ordered it to my grandma Bandung house so then when I go back to Bandung I would able to look at it already and all the other options were like 2 million rupiah for the case. After when I went back to Bandung I realized it was really big and it would not fit inside my bag so then I had to go find other options of cases. Besides from that I also have to find other parts too for a really good deal. I have to find a good deal for a new case, for a motherboard, for a CPU, also RAM too, I may also get more storage so I will also try to find a good deal for a used SSD or brand new. I also realized that my brother has a 512 GB SSD NVME that he has which he doesn’t use so I may use that for my PC. After a few weeks I finally found some more good deals to buy for my PC.

Buying other parts for my PC

After a few weeks of hunting good used deals on Tokopedia I found a good deal for the power supply for only 750k rupiah while SFX PSU were going for around 1.35M Brand new or 1M used on another SFX PSU so I wanted to order it immediately and that was a good idea because soon later the other one he had for sale instantly sold out. So I save myself a lot of money until I bought another case for my PC due to the other one being too big and not able to fit inside my PC but that’s for later… After a few days I got my Power supply so now I have to find a motherboard, CPU, RAM, and a SSD SATA due to I already have a NVME due to my brother. After that I spent the next few days trying to find new deals. I found a motherboard that went on sale for 1.45M. Although there were many CONS and PROS. The PROS were that it was cheaper than all the other options and I could save 300k rupiah than others. I realized I could also try to negotiate the price down. I said to them 1.1M for it but they didn’t respond back for a few hours. After I woke up the next day they said they wouldn’t be able to do that price due to it being too low so then countered it and said they can do 1.25M which still we save another 200k and the total we save 500k for the motherboard so that is crazy deal. We bought it few hours later. Soon later I made a new list on what I’ll do if I find certain prices. If there is a deal where I save 200k I will try negotiating some more. If there is a deal with 400k+ then I will take my time or try to negotiate. If there is a deal where I save over 600k+ like the Power Supply I will make sure it works and instantly buy it. That’s how my deals work. Soon later I would buy my CPU which would be the Ryzen 5 3600 since my motherboard I bought was the Gigabyte AB350N which already had installed WIFI and Bluetooth which I wanted but realized they might be outdated so they might be bad enough but I didn’t think of that right now which would result in s ome problems in the future. I tried finding deals for the Ryzen 5 3600 but I couldn’t find any as they kept getting sold out. The Ryzen 5 3600 comes with 6 cores and 12 threads which is enough for gaming itself with possibly streaming too but it will be a bit laggy and lose a lot of performance but with my GPU that won’t be a problem if I do so. Soon later I found good deals for 1.2M rupiah for the CPU which would only save me 150k so I left it on the side until it sold out immediately which was pretty sad. I found one for 1.3M and so I got it down to 1.25M. The problem was that it didn’t come with a CPU cooler so I had to go buy one after that for 50k Rupiah. Soon later it arrived and it looked perfect and I also bought some Thermal Paste for the Cooler until I realized the CPU cooler was brand new and didn’t need any thermal paste so I kind of just waste 75k Rupiah on some Thermal Paste I won’t use but that’s fine because if I want to change it in the future, I can do that. After that I also bought the RAM for my PC. I bought around 24gb of ram because I don’t want any problems with running and programs in the background. I also bought the best speed for my PC. The CPU is best paired with DDR4 RAM which is 3200Mhz for the max performance you want to get out of it. Also, because I bought a lot of RAM so may as well get the best speed for it. I bought the ram for a total of 615k Rupiah. The 16gb 3200Mhz Single RAM costed 395k Rupiah while the 8gb 3200mhz costed 220k Rupiah. So, the reason why I bought 24gb also is because it was a better deal for the 16gb too and I only have 2 ram slots instead of 4 ram slots so I wanted to get the most out of it. I am glad I did it because it is so smooth to run anything and no problem to run anything. After that I also bought the SSD. I wanted to buy a lot of SSD so I can download as much games as I want so I have no problem to. I Decided 1 Terabyte of Storage for my SSD would be good enough. I searched for good deals in Tokopedia for so long. For brand new it is around 600k Rupiah and used is around 550k Rupiah but I knew I could get better than that so I kept searching on all sites. For about a few days I searched for a long time. I am not sure when I found it or how much it cost but I think it was around 450k Rupiah I found a brand new SSD from Eyota which had 1TB of SSD storage. It was a SSD SATA so the speeds weren’t that fast as a NVME but it didn’t matter. It was still fast though at 150 MBPS data transfer speed both write and read too. (Here is an update and I realized I wrote it wrong. It is actually 500 MBPS transfer speed both write and read on the SSD 1TB EYOTA not 150 MBPS like it said. Sorry). And finally after buying a Motherboard, CPU, RAM, SSD, a Cooler, a PSU, it was down to the final part I had to find and that was the PC case itself. After by all this stuff I wouldn’t be able to build if I don’t even have the PC Case.

Buying the last part for my PC

The PC Case is one of the most important parts of the PC due to the fact I need it to be portable and also that I need a case to put it in so I will be able to use it for daily uses. The case I searched for days and days to find. I tried to find one which is small enough to fit inside my Backpack so I can bring it around areas for my daily use. After days of trying to find I decided to go for the SG13 from Silverstone which is the same brand I bought the SG08 case from which was too big to fit inside my bag. I actually checked dimensions and yes it would fit inside my bag. There were many different options but they were around 600k to 800k Rupiah which is a lot of money saying my budget wasn’t that much. While the SG13 I bought was only around 500k brand new and I also found a used one for 300k but then I found a used 400k one which also comes in with the fan and the case. So I decided to go for that one due there was a fan installed it in already so I would save temperature cooling already and save some money. Although I could buy the fan itself and buy the 300k used case and save more money and spent only 340k. I didn’t like not having the box of the case and also that the case for 300k had rust and tons of dents in the case itself. It just didn’t seem that promising and I also didn’t have to go threw the hassles of installing the fan myself which I’m pretty sure it was just a few screws but still I think it was worth it. Soon later I decided to tell my mom to buy the last part of the PC which was super exciting meaning that I could also build the PC. Another thing I realized I needed a keyboard and a mouse and also a brand new mousepad due to my old one being very broken.

Buying my new mouse and mousepad

While I was searching through Tokopedia I didn’t find much good deals so then I went to Shopee where I found so many good deals to get unlike Tokopedia and other different sides. I decided to keep looking until I found a mouse I liked. I showed it to my dad and he said it was good too. I found out that there was a way to make it no RGB or make it slight RGB and tons of RGB. Thought that was super cool and it was from a really trusted brand which was Fantech and they are very trusted here in Indonesia because they are everywhere you go you will find a Fantech either gaming mouse or a gaming keyboard or a Gaming headset whatever they have. It is also very affordable unlike other brands which make their prices like 300k or 500k. I found a certain model of mouse I liked which was only 150k rupiah and it was also wireless so I don’t need to use a wire to attach it. It was good until I found another store which sell the same mouse but for 50k cheaper. It was for sale for only 100k Rupiah which is cheaper than the official store which actually sells it in Shopee which is really crazy. So now after I put the mouse in the cart I had to go find a mousepad for my mouse so I can game on it. I wanted to find a gaming mousepad so the mouse can slide easily and get good grip too. Soon I found this mousepad which is from Rexus and it was semi big. In the pictures it was very good size but soon to find out it was a bad decision getting that one. The dimensions were actually much more bigger than what was shown in the picture itself. It was around 2 or 3 times bigger than the picture showed when it arrived at my grandma house. So that was a big shock to me and I didn’t have any space to put the mousepad because it was so big. So I was thinking to buy a new one but I didn’t want to waste money so for now I will use it everyday for my PC. It was very cool because the mousepad was black and grey with some white and it says it is made for gaming and good shooting accuracy. The price for it was around 65k Rupiah but on Shopee I found it for only 50k Rupiah so that was also a good find. It feels very nice to play with it and I will definitely use it more for the future and for a long time. For the mousepad I will also probably use it for a good amount of time but not as much time as I will use the mouse for. Now the next thing to get is the keyboard which I also found for a really good deal too.

Buying the keyboard

So, after I put the mouse and mousepad in my cart now I have to go find a keyboard for a good price. I found some for around 500k and 400k but those were way out of my league of price. I kept searching on Shopee because I found some flash sales for keyboards and I found one for a really good price and there were tons of good reviews on it. There were around 8k sold and 2000 5 star reviews so I decided to get it. The sound for the keyboard isn’t that loud and it is really good. It is a keyboard from Gamen and it is called the Gamen Titan Elite for a crazy cheap price. It was regular price at around 300k Rupiah but because of the Flash sale the keyboard went down to 250k only without any discounts. So, I decided to put it in the cart while I wait for the flash sale to happen. I was watching tons of review videos about the Gamen titan elite and they all used blue key which is the loud key sound and it wasn’t that loud so I wondered if I picked the red which is made for it to be much more quieter then it would be very good for its price. I was very excited for this keyboard because it also came with a numpad which I never had. I never had a numpad and in every game I played it required some sort of numpad. It was amazing that I found a good priced keyboard which is the same price as a wireless numpad. When it arrived to my house same with the mouse and mousepad I decided to try it out.

Testing out the keyboard and Mouse and Mousepad

So once after they arrived to my door I instantly opened them and tried them out. Although I got electric shocked a few times it was ok. The sound was very good saying its price and it wasn’t that loud. For the mouse it was much better grip and it wasn’t oily and didn’t get oily very easily. Like I expected the mousepad was very smooth to move the mouse on too. The total set up was only around 450k Rupiah and it was amazing. I think I personally found the best deals for it. The mouse was also pretty clicky and little loud but that’s ok. The keyboard again was amazing to use. And it is wired and not wireless so I don’t have to worry about delays or charging like the mouse has to. The keyboard and mouse also had different RGB settings but the keyboard had like 5 different RGB settings to change too. While the mouse only had 2. I was happy with the results and wrote down a positive review to the sellers. By the way remember I bought these 3 gears brand new and for that price that is amazing. So make sure to do high research on your product to be able to get the best value item and the best experience for the money you spend and what your looking for. It can be for a loud keyboard or for a quite keyboard or just a keyboard that looks nice and can be used for daily usage stuff like gaming, writing, working and more!

Building my PC

After I got all of my parts ready to build my PC. I first started to pull out the motherboard which is the Gigabyte AB350N WIFI Gaming and put in the Ryzen 5 3600 CPU which is installed with 6 cores and 12 thread and amazing for gaming. Slide the CPU in and close the metal line bracket keeping it in. Once then I pulled out both of 2 sticks of ram. One which is 8gb and the other 16gb. Click the bracket up and slide the ram in. It should make a clicking sound to indicate that the RAM is fully installed in inside of the Motherboard. And after that I got my brothers 512gb SSD NVME and installed it on the back. Although I should have done this before I put both of my ram sticks in. I took out the small screw on the back with my screwdriver and installed the SSD NVME side ways and hold it down while I screw it back in. Once then after I fully screw back in and flip back over. Next thing I did was I put the Motherboard inside of the Case because at this time the Cooler for my CPU hasn’t arrived yet sadly. I opened up the case with the 4 screws on the back. One by one then after I screwed out all 4 I pulled the PC Case up part off and it was fascinating what was inside of the case. I look inside and instantly found where to put my motherboard. It took another 4 more screws to get the motherboard inside of the motherboard stand. After I got all 4 screws before I put the motherboard, I got the motherboard AIO panel and put it there. Once after that I got the motherboard and actually now put it on the 4 stands and lined it up on the motherboard ports panel I put before. Then I started screwing back all 4 screws into the motherboard stands again to keep the motherboard sturdy so it doesn’t keep moving around inside the case. Once then I installed my SSD. There was this compartment on top of case where I can put my SSD on which it needed 2 screws so I took 2 screws from my previous case I bought which was the Silverstone SG08 onto my Silverstone SG13. Once then I connected my 2.5 GBPS SSD cable which can also be used with an HDD. I put it in the SSD and put it in the Motherboard. It didn’t matter which side I put it in but the angle or rotation I put it in. So, after that I waited for a few days because my CPU Cooler hasn’t arrived yet.

My CPU Cooler finally arrives

My CPU Cooler was a very vital part of the PC because I need to install before I install the PSU. After that I tried installing the CPU Cooler many times but I couldn’t so I decided to remove the motherboard of the case and try to install the CPU Cooler outside of the case. So, I took the 4 screws out of the motherboard stands and took it out and I found out that the CPU cooler bracket behind the motherboard got out and I was supposed to do it on a flat surface to prevent it from coming off. So, I tried to put the CPU cooler back on the motherboard but this time on a flat surface. I also had my dad supporting me now because he just came back from England and came to Bandung to help us and meet us again after a while. It was also much easier now to do stuff because now I have some sort of motivation to do it. Then after a few tries I got the CPU cooler in and it was really cool and then a problem I realized I have to put the cables inside of my motherboard again from the case.

Having Trouble putting the PC cables inside of my PC

I put the motherboard inside of my case again and put the 4 screws inside of the motherboard stands then after that I had to go put the case cables inside of my motherboard because I took it out and had to do it again now. It was really hard now because the CPU cooler being there took a lot of space and now it was much harder to do it now. I also got really confused because the pin cables didn’t say if it was negative or positive and there was 2 different, I had to put until after like 30 minutes I got them all in. I found out that first 3 says that it is negative or positive so it was much easier for those one but the other 2 didn’t say if it was negative or positive so then I had to go and research some more and I couldn’t find anything until I thought about it and realized that the colored cable means its positive while the white cable means it is negative. I trusted with my gut and later on I will tell if it worked or not. After that it felt so cool to see it and then it was the most important part of the PC which was the GPU.

Installing the GPU into the PC

Now it is the most important part of the PC which I have to install which is the GPU. The GPU I will be installing inside of my PC will be the GTX 1660 TI which my dad had just laying around because he bought it when he put it inside of the Office PC in Timika as I told before in this text. This GPU is from Nvidia and it comes with DLSS and it is fairly good for modern games. I can run many games on 1080p on Medium to High settings and paired with this CPU is a perfect fit but the CPU can certainly carry more intensive GPU’s and still be a perfect match like my dream Rx 5700 XT or the RTX 3060 or the Rx 6600. The first I did was carry the office PC down to the ground and I had to take out the screws on the PC which was only 2 and I pulled the PC side off. After that I had to screw off 2 extra screws to take out the GPU. The GPU part where the HDMI, and display port is I had to take a screw off there and then I had to take the PSU connector off and pull the GPU lock off and pulled it out with ease. While that time I was also looking at the other PC stuff inside of the PC. For example, like the RAM and SSD inside of the PC. I found out that the PC that my dad got from his sister husband had 8gb of ram and 750gb of storage but then I just put them back. Then after that I finish searching the PC and put the side case back on and I put the 2 screws back inside of the PC and closed the side case locked up. Then I went back to my PC and I took out the 2 GPU brackets on the back with 2 or 3 screws on them. Then after I finished screwing off the GPU brackets off, I got the GPU and opened up the GPU lock to then I can slide the GPU in. Then I got my GPU and carefully slide the GPU inside of the bracket and heard the click and that means I successfully put the GPU inside of the motherboard. Then after that I took 1 of the screws from the 3 screw I took off and put it on the case GPU to secure it on the case and motherboard. Then after that it was the hardest part of the PC now which is the PSU. This was going to be a challenge after I realized that these cables were not that flexible as I thought which was a bit disappointing. This was going to be super hard to do with my father too. I also learned some stuff about the PSU which I will write later after this one. So, I am sorry if it is going to be hard for you to read the next part of the paragraph as I am not sure how to explain what I was doing with PSU as it is super hard to do and jam it all in and try not to get any of the cables into parts of the PC which it can get chopped off.

Installing the PSU inside of the PC

This was going to be a really hard challenge because of the limited amount of space I have to do this in.

Problems arises

After I was finished building my pc I started trying to test out the PC to see if it was working but while doing so I got electric shocked A LOT of times. I was trying to turn on the monitor for my PC but it wasn’t working. The PC was on, the fan was on, the cooler was on, the PSU was on. Everything was on but yet I didn’t get any display at all. I soon thought it was a faulty monitor so then I tried it on the TV. Same results. It turned on but no display at all. Now at this point I thought it was the GPU but then why would it spin and work. I will get to the real reason why it wasn’t working in a moment. While I was trying to get the display on for the TV I put my hand behind the TV and got electrocuted and it was a bit painful. It just felt like tons of electric going threw my body and like standing there for 2 seconds. After that I got really scared and I immediately unplugged everything and said I’ll do the other TV tomorrow. So, then I packed up my PC back in the box ready for me to try it tomorrow. The next day I woke up, showered, ate breakfast then I got my PC out then put it in the other TV area. Plugged in the PC to the TV monitor then plugged in the power. The TV turned on and there was connection but yet it still said no display signal found. I started to give up and called it quits. So I told my dad what about we bring it to a PC area to get it fixed and maybe it won’t be that expensive.

Troubleshooting my PC

While my dad was trying to find a PC service area to troubleshoot my PC I decided to try to fix it. I opened it and tried to find out what was wrong and also tried installing windows but couldn’t do that due to no display being found. My dad soon found a place to fix my PC and said we can go there tomorrow. I went to sleep and the next day I woke up and did my daily routine and got in the car at 9 with my dad. We also went to get my dad phone and watch too. When we finally got there after like an hour doing my dad phone and watch stuff and arriving to the area I gave my PC, and the person was writing down stuff what was wrong, and it felt very professional, so I believed in them. They said it would take a few days for them to be able to troubleshoot the PC.

Getting my PC back

While guiding my dad back to the shuttle to go to the airport he told me about the PC, and it would be finished. At this time, it had only been 2 days, so it was pretty quick. Until he told me the price of an insane 1.2 Million Rupiah which is a lot of money for me. I was upset at the price and the service that they did. They soon told me all they did was just update the BIOS for the motherboard which only took a few minutes. They also installed windows on it which was generous. It took me a while to get over it but at the end of the day at least the PC works now, and I can use it for my daily use. It can also fit in my backpack, so it is also a portable PC. I am thinking to sell this PC in England to be able to buy a laptop or a mini gaming PC. So, I am very grateful for all of this and hopefully I the future I can be able to do more stuff about PC’s and possibly flip PC for profit. I hope to start up a shop and sell stuff.

Playing with my new PC

When I got my PC back I wanted to play with it. The first thing I tried to use was the TV inside of the bedroom that my dad suggested that I should try out with the PC before I gave it to the PC service to fix it. First try I tried it, it instantly booted up and I could start playing games. The TV was a 1080p TV clocked at 60 hertz which means I can play games up to 60 fps if my PC even gets 60 fps but that’s not a question because my PC gets 100+ FPS on games that I play on it and it’s very good for my daily use on the PC. There was some problems too with the TV. The TV was located up so for me to see the TV I had to bend my neck looking up which could lead to pain problems on my neck from looking up for too long at the TV. My dad suggested getting a monitor which he would find soon in a future upon text that I will be writing about. The TV was very good still. I had a very good experience playing with it. It was also pretty big so I can see a lot of the TV and it wasn’t a small TV, so I had to look very closely at it to read stuff. As for the audio. The audio on the TV is ok. It wasn’t good but at least it had an audio while other ones didn’t have audio so I couldn’t hear anything. So then I got some headphones that I will be writing about after this one. Overall rating of the TV. The TV placing isn’t good for my head and it is used for to watch TV series or movies on the TV while you are sitting or sleeping on the bed which I understand. The TV was good enough for me to see things even when I am sitting down on my chair below it. It is a pretty big TV like 25 inches so I can see a good amount. When I am watching YouTube I like to lay down on the bed while watching YouTube on the TV. The audio on the TV is good enough for me to hear down below on the chair and also when I am sitting down on the bed watching some videos. So, I give the Tv a solid rating of 7.5/10

Getting Headphones from my dad

When I was using the TV my dad said to me that he had some headphones laying around that he wasn’t using because he bought new ones in England so he could give me his old headphones that he had before. The headphones were really nice I think sony brand headphone. It was around a million rupiah when he bought it but I am not sure since I haven’t told him in a long time. I think the last time I told him about how much his headphones cost was like over a year ago. Anyways his new headphones costed him 130 Pounds which is around 2 million rupiah or more since the price of GDP to Indonesia rupiah always keep changing. It is also about 140 dollars in American dollars. The sony headphones that my dad gave me sound quality was very good. I liked it very much and it was pretty comfy. It wasn’t as comfy as it was the last time I tried it due to the cushions on the speakers on the headphones are now pretty messed up and pretty dirty now. I did clean it though with some tissues. The headphones when I wear them for over an hour my ears will start to hurt which is acceptable because your ears starts getting tired from the headphones pressure on your ears also from the audio coming from the headphones which could also be an indication that the video you are listening is too loud or your volume you set the headphones on are too loud for your ears which could also permanently damage your ears so make sure to be safe with that stuff. The headphones quality were very good for me for also listening to music while playing games. The headphone ratings are going to be a bit high since I don’t actually have any other headphones besides from another headphone I just realised. This is me from the future editing this text. I had a wired headphones which were pretty uncomfortable because from its low quality cushions at the speakers and also it was pretty tight so it was putting a lot of pressure on my ears. The sony headphones I got from my dad are much better than the previous wired headphones, so I am going to have to give it a pretty high rating since I have only really tried only 2 headphones which is the sony headphone and the uncomfortable wired headphones. The wired headphones rating would probably be a 5.5/10 its not good for using but it has ok audio which is all you need for headphones. The main thing is just to be able to hear stuff pretty good which the wired headphones that aren’t comfortable does. The sony headphones that my dad gave me has better audio with also better cushions to help your ears not hurt more like the other headphones. It is also wireless through Bluetooth instead of u need wires to plug in the PC. The rating for it is going to be pretty high at 9/10 as I haven’t tried much headphones as those 2 are the only one I have really tried out and used for a good amount of time instead of just wearing it and hearing a few seconds of it and rating it as if I already know a lot about the headphones that I just wore and used for a few seconds.

Getting a monitor from my dad

While I was using the TV for my PC my neck started to hurt a lot due to me having to look up to see the screen while if I used a monitor I would only have to look straight which could reduce the pain of my neck. My dad said that he would buy a cheap monitor for me and so he found one and he sent to me, but I didn’t see it until the next day. The next day when I saw it the monitor was selling for 800k Rupiah which equals around to 56$ after shipping. The monitor was a asus monitor which was pretty old, but it still had 60 hertz and the resolution of the monitor wasn’t 1080p but still it was 720p which was still very good. I couldn’t tell the different between 1080p and 720p. But the main thing about the monitor that it wasn’t 45% NTSC, but it was 70% NTSC / 100% SRGB which allows me to see more colors than a regular monitor with the side effects that it was a lower resolution and only at 60 hertz while games I play get over 120 FPS. For its price I don’t think it was the best deal, but it was semi good deal as later on my dad found a near identical monitor with the same specifications for just 500k rupiah which is about 35$ and he could have saved a good amount of money, but it was alright because all my dad wants is me able to play on the monitor and for it to be good enough for me. My dad also said if I am able to sell the monitor then I can use the money that I sold the monitor for like a new monitor or upgrade a part. My final review on the monitor is  very good because I play very smooth in many games I play on it. There’s no defects on the monitor and runs  super smooth without any black screen or dead pixels. I rate it a 7.5/10 as the monitor itself but for its price a solid 6.5/10.

My Final Review about my PC

Here is my final review about my PC. The PC is a great machine to use. The CPU is good enough for a GPU up to an RTX 3060 TI and with a GTX 1660 Ti it is still a great match together with the CPU and GPU which is perfect for gaming. I can play any game on 1080p either on medium up to high settings. I also have a lot of storage that I can use. I have a whole terabyte of storage that I can use for games itself and around 500gb of storage for my applications and recordings. Maybe in the future I will be able to upgrade the PC if I can and buy an actual portable monitor because right now I am using a monitor which is not portable, so I have to leave it at home for now which is pretty bad and ruins the whole point for my “Portable” PC. I’m hoping I can save up more money by typing and also reading books so I can buy new stuff. Besides that the PC is really good for my daily use and I hope everything will go well in the future with my PC.
